Pajama Cabinets and iPad Mount

Pajama cabinets are top opening cabinets on either side of the cab over bed.  These did not come with door struts to hold the doors open.  I installed four of these, one per cabinet to hold them open to allow easier access.


Next I glued and screwed a piece of oak to the inside so that I could mount a RAM mount for an iPad.  I wanted to conceal the iPad mount so that if it was removed, there would be no unsightly screw holes.  So when the iPad mount can be folded down and concealed with the PJ drawer is closed, and folded out and used with the forward drivers side PJ drawer open.

Here is a photo of the iPad mount without the head end is installed.  Note the clamps holding the attached wood are still in place until the glue dries.  You can see how it can fold down or be removed when not needed.
